The National University of Singapore (NUS) ranked eighth, rising four places from last year, while Nanyang Technological University (NTU) placed 10th, up from 11th.<\/p>\n The QS rankings evaluate universities based on five indicators, including academic and employer reputation, citations per paper, research productivity and impact, and international research collaboration.<\/p>\n The 2026 edition assessed more than 21,000 academic programs from 1,912 institutions across 100 countries and territories.<\/p>\n Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University. Photo courtesy of NTU<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n Within individual disciplines under engineering and technology, NUS placed in the global top five <\/a>in seven subjects, while NTU consistently ranked in the top 10 across these fields.<\/p>\n The top 10 is dominated by U.S. institutions, which account for four entries.<\/p>\n The Massachusetts Institute of Technology retained the top position globally, while Stanford University ranked second.<\/p>\n The U.K. has three universities in the top 10: University of Oxford (4th), University of Cambridge (5th), and Imperial College London (7th).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n
