Spring is here and with it an all-new line-up of tantalising K-drama offerings, ranging from fantasy, action and animation to a wide variety of romance.<\/p>\n

1. Bloodhounds season 2<\/h3>\n

Lead cast:<\/strong> Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, Rain<\/p>\n

Following their first rip-roaring adventure<\/span>, Gun-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) are back for a second helping of cathartic beatdowns in Bloodhounds 2<\/em>.<\/div>\n
Jason Kim is once again at the helm, directing from his own scripts, while this season\u2019s villain is the vicious underground boxing figure Baek-jung, played by K-pop icon Rain (Ghost Doctor<\/em><\/span>).<\/div>\n

Gun-woo has been pursuing a successful career as a boxer. However, when Baek-jung scouts him for his illicit matches and puts his family in danger, Gun-woo and Woo-jin must once again put up their fists to fight for what is right. (Netflix, April 3)<\/p>\n

2. Perfect Crown<\/h3>\n

Lead cast:<\/strong> IU, Byeon Woo-seok<\/p>\n

Following the rapturously received When Life Gives You Tangerines<\/em><\/span>, K-pop idol IU<\/span> (aka Lee Ji-eun) has teamed up with Byeon Woo-seok (Lovely Runner<\/em><\/span>) for Perfect Crown<\/em>, which imagines present-day South Korea as a constitutional monarchy.<\/div>\n

IU plays corporate heiress Seong Hee-ju, who has everything she could want, save for royal status. That may change when she becomes involved with Prince I-an (Byeon).<\/p>\n

Perfect Crown<\/em> is one of two glossy monarchy fantasy romances scheduled this year, along with The Remarried Empress<\/em> starring Shin Min-a, Lee Jong-suk<\/span> and Ju Ji-hoon<\/span>. (MBC\/Disney+, April 10)<\/div>\n

3. Yumi\u2019s Cells season 3<\/h3>\n

Lead cast:<\/strong> Kim Go-eun, Kim Jae-won<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
