{"id":40168,"date":"2026-03-29T17:02:35","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T09:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=40168"},"modified":"2026-03-29T17:02:35","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T09:02:35","slug":"4-years-post-cancer-baey-yam-keng-relieved-everything-is-clear-after-discovering-abnormality-on-nose-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=40168","title":{"rendered":"4 years post-cancer: Baey Yam Keng relieved &#8216;everything is clear&#8217; after discovering abnormality on nose , Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Four years after his nose cancer diagnosis, Minister of State for Transport Baey Yam Keng says he is grateful that he is in good health, especially after a recent scare.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"281\" data-end=\"436\">In a Facebook post on Saturday (March 28), Baey shared that he has been undergoing annual scans since completing radiation therapy to monitor his health.<\/p>\n<p>However, late last December, the minister said his CT scan had shown a small abnormality on the right side of his nose.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My oncologist thought it might be linked to a flu I caught during a recent trip, but referred me to an ear and nose specialist just to be safe,&#8221; said Baey, who is also Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He added that a follow-up scope in February showed nothing concerning, but to be certain, he underwent another magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan in March.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"792\" width=\"500\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fyamkeng%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0Tp26ym1bGByWA1TePGfNHDByWcF5H3zH88dK4hm6ydTuNFuAp6CZfVkkeoxazUsQl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\">\u00a0<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Baey wrote that the results, which he received two days ago, showed that everything was clear.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While the uncertainty over the past few months didn&#8217;t weigh on me too much, I definitely felt a deep sense of relief hearing the good news,&#8221; said Baey.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1275\">&#8220;Happy to share that my post-cancer health is good for now.
