John Hannah will reprise his role as Jonathan Carnahan, the unscrupulous brother of Rachel Weisz<\/u>\u2019s character Evelyn O’Connell, in The Mummy 4<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Hannah appeared in the first three Mummy movies, although Maria Bello subbed for Weisz in the last entry, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor<\/u> (but that film may no longer be canon<\/u>).<\/p>\n

Jonathan is a wise-cracking, excitable thief always working an angle or looking for a way to abscond with something valuable during his adventures with his sister Evy and her tomb-raiding husband, Rick O\u2019Connell (Brendan Fraser<\/u>). <\/p>\n

In the years since the third Mummy movie, Hannah has appeared in the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand<\/u> and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena<\/u> as Quintus Lentulus Batiatus.<\/p>\n

He also played Holden Radcliffe in Marvel\u2019s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/u>, and has also appeared in episodes of The Last of Us<\/u> and Black Mirror<\/u>.<\/p>\n

The Mummy 4 will be directed by Radio Silence\u2019s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, Scream 6) from a script by David Coggeshall (The Family Plan). <\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter<\/u> claims The Mummy 4 will shoot this fall in London and Morocco.<\/p>\n

Universal’s The Mummy 4 opens in theaters on May 19, 2028<\/u>.<\/p>\n
