Eventually, the aim is to make the one-stop platform the norm across the industry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Mr Koon says: \u201cCORENET X provides a clearer and more structured workflow. The executive condominium is among the early projects to use CORENET X, one of more than 100 developments on the system so far.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-eyebrow-baseline-regular text-placeholder\" data-testid=\"inline-media-credit-test-id\">PHOTO: HOI HUP REALTY AND SUNWAY MCL<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Moving to <a href=\"https:\/\/info.corenet.gov.sg\/?utm_medium=advertorials&amp;utm_source=st&amp;utm_campaign=corenetx&amp;ref=inline-article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\"><span class=\"font-body-baseline-regular inline\" data-testid=\"paragraph-test-id\">CORENET X<\/span><\/a> takes preparation \u2013 and Ronnie &amp; Koh Consultants, which used the platform for the first time for its Novo Place project in Tengah, says firms should treat it as a process change, not just a new portal to log into. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Here is what its executive director, Mr Gwee Siong Mong, advises:<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-list-container\" data-testid=\"bulleted-article-list-test-id\">\n<ul class=\"pl-22 list-disc article-list-wrapper\">\n<li class=\"article-list-item list-item\" data-testid=\"bulleted-article-list-item-test-id\">\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\"><b>Study the platform and its requirements<\/b>: Read the CORENET X Code of Practice, understand the submission stages, and note what data and documents are needed \u2013 especially the submission format for Building Information Modelling.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-item list-item\" data-testid=\"bulleted-article-list-item-test-id\">\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\"><b>Prepare your people:<\/b> Send the teams handling submissions for <a href=\"https:\/\/info.corenet.gov.sg\/resources\/corenet-x-training---funding?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\"><span class=\"font-body-baseline-regular inline\" data-testid=\"paragraph-test-id\">CORENET X training<\/span><\/a>, then have them share what they learn with the rest of the project team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-item list-item\" data-testid=\"bulleted-article-list-item-test-id\">\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\"><b>Adjust your internal workflow: <\/b>Clarify who owns each submission item, set timelines and checkpoints, and align how consultants and contractors will work on the federated model so updates do not clash.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Mr Gwee adds: \u201cAfter the Novo Place project, we\u2019re proud to tell the industry we are CORENET X-ready. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cWe know how much time is needed for preparation, and the type of data and documents required for submission, and the timeline needed for getting the authorities\u2019 clearances.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">CORENET X is not just about getting clearances. Straits Construction Singapore\u2019s technical director (projects) Corinne Lim says: \u201cTapping CORENET X benefits the design and building process too.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Under the new workflow, contractors and consultants work off a single shared digital model of the building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The model brings together inputs from all disciplines \u2013 from architecture to engineering \u2013 into one coordinated file. The firm and its subcontractors also saved time and resources by not developing their own BIM models. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">ADDP Architects\u2019 principal architect Ng Sin Yong says the shared model goes far beyond a basic 3D drawing. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">He adds: \u201cThis has a much higher level of detail and standardisation. Such models follow specific standards, with specific properties, methods and descriptions embedded.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In short, everyone works off the same rulebook.
