This year’s conference will run from 8 to 12 June.

Like last year, most of WWDC 2026 will take place online and will be free for developers to attend. However, there will be a special in-person event on 8 June where invited guests will likely attend a keynote and the Platforms State of the Union.

According to Apple, WWDC 2026 will “spotlight incredible updates for Apple platforms, including AI advancements and exciting new software and developer tools.”

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, says:

WWDC is one of the most exciting times for us at Apple because it’s a chance for our incredible global developer community to come together for an electrifying week that celebrates technology, innovation, and collaboration.

For the uninitiated, WWDC is the time when Apple announces and shows off new versions of its operating systems. For one, it will be interesting to see what AI advancements Apple has to share – particularly given all the hiccups around the “more personalised version of Siri”. Also, we should be seeing updates to iOS and macOS that will help them get ready for the rumoured foldable iPhone and touchscreen MacBook Pro.

Apple has had a busy start to 2026. In the past few weeks, they launched a flurry of products, including a new iPad Air, MacBook Pros powered by the new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, an updated MacBook Air, the budget MacBook Neo, and the second-generation AirPods Max 2.

As always, stay tuned right here for the latest from Apple.

Apple has finalized dates for this year’s World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC).
