In total, 98 restaurants across the two cities emerged with Michelin stars; 15 of them were new to the list.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The year 2026 celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Michelin starring system. The ceremony began with a homage to the guide\u2019s gastronomic legacy, honouring chefs who are the \u201ckeepers of traditions\u201d but also the \u201crebels\u201d.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">New one-Michelin-star restaurants added to the list include Sushi Takeshi in Hong Kong, while Don Alfonso 1890 and Palace Garden represent Macau. The latest selection of starred restaurants for 2026 includes 77 in Hong Kong and 21 in Macau. The number of Michelin stars has increased for Macau by two since last year, while Hong Kong has increased by one.<\/p>\n<div datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1xdhyk6 ec74h0k0\">The most prominent new name added to the one-Michelin-star list is <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">Hong Kong\u2019s China Tang<\/span>.
