Huawei Singapore has announced the availability and pricing of its latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 80 Pro. <\/p>\n
New Design Philosophy with Improved Durability<\/h2>\n
The Mate 80 Pro features Huawei\u2019s Dual Space Ring Design<\/b>, a symmetrical aesthetic that the company says represents innovation and exploration. One ring symbolises the perseverance to venture into uncharted territory, while the other reflects the courage to forge new paths.<\/p>\n The Huawei Mate 80 Pro comes in three colours: black, gold and green.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Its rear panel is crafted from ultra-durable vegan fibre<\/b>, giving the 6.75-inch smartphone a premium feel, a more comfortable grip, and up to five times greater impact resistance.<\/p>\n On the front, the 6.75-inch OLED display is protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass<\/b>, which Huawei says offers 20x better drop resistance than conventional glass. The smartphone also carries an IP68<\/b> rating for dust and water resistance, alongside an IP69<\/b> rating for high-temperature and high-pressure water jets. <\/p>\n As befits a flagship-class phone, it has a triple-camera system.<\/p>\n Photo: Huawei<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Huawei equips the Mate 80 Pro with a triple rear camera setup comprising a large 1\/1.28-inch 50MP Ultra Lighting main camera<\/b>, a 48MP Ultra Lighting telephoto macro lens<\/b> with 4x optical zoom and a minimum focusing distance of just 5cm, and a 40MP ultra-wide camera<\/b>.<\/p>\n A standout feature is the main camera\u2019s adjustable physical aperture<\/b>, which can be set anywhere between f\/1.4 and f\/4.0.<\/p>\n The triple-camera system is further enhanced by Huawei\u2019s True-to-Colour Camera<\/b> technology, powered by a 9th-generation image signal processor. According to Huawei, it delivers a 43% improvement in colour reproduction through advanced data processing and video noise reduction.<\/p>\n The Mate 80 Pro is powered by the Kirin 9030 chipset<\/b>, which Huawei says delivers 21% better performance than the Mate 70 Pro. To manage heat during demanding workloads, the phone uses a cooling system which Huawei calls SuperCool Dual Phase Change Heat Dissipation System<\/b>. It\u2019s designed to improve thermal conductivity by 16% and reduce temperature rise by 33%.<\/p>\n The Mate 80 Pro ships with three AI-powered features to improve mobile photography. AI Remove<\/b> can erase unwanted elements in the background and reconstruct the scene for a more natural-looking result. AI Best Expression<\/b> analyses burst shots and combines the best expressions from each person into a single photo, helping you create the ideal group photo.
