{"id":36700,"date":"2026-03-16T18:13:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T10:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=36700"},"modified":"2026-03-16T18:13:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T10:13:36","slug":"more-warm-days-expected-in-second-half-of-march-met-service-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=36700","title":{"rendered":"More warm days expected in second half of March: Met Service, Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>If you were thinking of saving on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/singapore\/electricity-prices-rise-middle-east-conflict-tan-see-leng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">power bills<\/a> in the second half of March, you might want to think again.<\/p>\n<p>Remaining days of the month are expected to be warm,<strong> <\/strong>the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) said on Monday (March 16).<\/p>\n<p>Prevailing<strong> <\/strong>northeast monsoon conditions are expected to continue, with winds blowing mainly from the northwest or northeast, MSS said.<\/p>\n<p>Short-duration thundery showers can be expected in the afternoons over some parts of the island, with dry and warm days towards the<strong> <\/strong>end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>The second half of March is projected to be less wet than the first, with total rainfall below average across most of Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, there will be more warm days in the second half of the month.<\/p>\n<p>Daily maximum temperatures are set to range between 34 deg C and 35 deg C on most days, while less cloudy days may see temperatures exceed 35 deg C.<\/p>\n<p>In the first half, the daily total rainfall of 74.4mm recorded around Clementi Stadium on March 6 was the highest rainfall recorded.<\/p>\n<p>On average, temperatures in the first half<strong> <\/strong>hovered around 34 deg C,<strong> <\/strong>peaking<strong> <\/strong>at 35.3 deg C on Sentosa on March 11.<\/p>\n<p>While most of Singapore recorded lower than average rainfall, Sembawang was the driest with rainfall of 71 per cent below average,<strong> <\/strong>the Met Service said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the area around Somerset registered rainfall of 15 per cent above average.<\/p>\n<p>[[nid:730145]]<\/p>\n<p>khooyihang@asiaone.com<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/singapore\/more-warm-days-expected-second-half-march-met-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article At Source <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you were thinking of saving on power bills in the second half of March, you might want to think again.
