In most private&#13;<br \/>\n  banks, variable bonuses are predominantly paid on a discretionary&#13;<br \/>\n  basis.&#13;\n<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n  What has happened at BoS is that RMs have\u00a0more certainty and&#13;<br \/>\n  transparency over how their variable bonus is calculated.
