With the X300 Ultra set to launch in global markets later this year, Vivo has begun revealing more details about its camera hardware. <\/p>\n
Vivo product manager Han Boxiao shared on Weibo that the X300 Ultra will be the first smartphone to feature Sony\u2019s new Lytia 901 camera sensor<\/b>.<\/p>\n
In addition to its 200MP<\/b> resolution, the Lytia 901 stands out for its size, measuring 1\/1.12 inches<\/b>. This makes it one of the largest sensors used in smartphones. <\/p>\n
For comparison, the main 48MP sensor on the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max measures 1\/1.28 inches, while the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra uses a 200MP 1\/1.3-inch sensor. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is equipped with a 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L sensor.<\/p>\n
Larger sensors can capture more light, which improves low-light photography<\/b> and overall image quality<\/b>. The LYTIA 901 also adopts a 35mm equivalent focal length<\/b>, offering a perspective closer to human vision. Vivo says the sensor also benefits from i<\/b>mproved image stabilisation and an enhanced anti-glare coating.<\/p>\n
The X300 was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, where the company confirmed it would be the first Ultra model to launch globally. Other confirmed features include 4K 120fps video recording in both 10-bit log and Dolby Vision, on-device colour editing, a four-microphone array, and support for external videography accessories.<\/p>\n
