{"id":33608,"date":"2026-03-05T05:21:37","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T21:21:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=33608"},"modified":"2026-03-05T05:21:37","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T21:21:37","slug":"man-who-called-for-then-president-halimahs-death-on-the-run-after-being-charged-with-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=33608","title":{"rendered":"Man who called for then President Halimah\u2019s death on the run after being charged with assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 A man who was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/courts-crime\/jail-for-man-who-called-for-then-president-halimahs-death-and-threatened-to-stab-judge?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular inline\" data-testid=\"paragraph-test-id\">sent to jail in 2025 after he called for then President Halimah Yacob\u2019s death<\/p>\n<p><\/a> is now on the run after he was handed an unrelated assault charge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Vickreman Harvey Chettiar, 35, has a warrant of arrest issued against him and a review on the matter was held in court on March 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Another review is now slated to take place in September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">According to court documents, <!-- -->Vickreman<!-- --> was at a pavilion at Yishun Neighbourhood Park at around 7.30am on May 3, 2025, when he allegedly used a shovel to hit a man\u2019s chin and arms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The alleged victim suffered superficial cuts as a result.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Separately,\u00a0Vickreman was sentenced to 10 months and 12 weeks\u2019 jail in 2025 after he pleaded guilty to three harassment charges.
