When we reviewed the Honor Magic V5<\/u> last year, we thought that it would be almost impossible for the next generation to get even thinner. <\/p>\n
Well, the Honor Magic V6<\/b> has proved us wrong. Announced at MWC 2026, the 2026 Honor foldable is the Chinese brand\u2019s thinnest model at 8.75mm folded, or 4.0mm unfolded.\u00a0But that\u2019s not all that is new with it.<\/p>\n Honor Magic V6, folded.<\/p>\n Screenshot: HWZ (Honor livestream)<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Magic V6 will be one of the first foldables on the market with this new flagship processor.\u00a0<\/p>\n Durability has been massively improved in this generation. Honor claimed 10x more drop resistance, 15x more scratch resistance and 3x more water resistance (the last one with the help of its IP68\/69 rating). Our tests on the Magic V5 showed that the battery life dipped with that model, so we\u2019re looking forward to testing the Magic V6 to see if the larger battery will improve battery uptimes.<\/p>\n Wired charging has been upgraded to 80W, and it retains the same 50W wireless charging speeds.<\/p>\n This year, Honor is improving the Magic V6\u2019s multitasking features. One such upgrade is to the slideshow-style multi-window feature, which we saw last year in the form of Triple Split Screen<\/u>.\u00a0You\u2019ll also be able to use Gemini alongside other apps on the main screen. <\/p>\n Apple device support for Honor Magic V6.<\/p>\n Screenshot: HWZ (Honor livestream)<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n We also get new and upgraded AI features, such as an AI meeting agent for minute-taking, AI smart reminders, and on-device AI that can recommend actions based on the user’s personal details.<\/p>\n Additionally, Honor is pushing for a much more integrated experience with Apple devices<\/b>. The phone will be able to set up two-way notification sync with iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, which would be a nice option for Apple users looking to get a foldable as a second device for productivity.<\/p>\n The Magic V6 can even serve as an extended screen for a MacBook, allowing you to search for your files on the Magic V6 from the Mac computer and use the iWork suite of apps, as well as open iCloud images and files.
