He was speaking during the debate on the Ministry of Trade and Industry\u2019s budget.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cWe also plan to replace the Sentosa Express to improve connectivity,\u201d said Mr Tan. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The Sentosa Express is\u00a0a 2.1km, four-station monorail connecting VivoCity at HarbourFront to Sentosa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">When complete, Greater Sentosa will also house lifestyle and hospitality developments, he said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Sentosa\u2019s beaches will undergo rejuvenation works, including strengthened coastal protection measures to both enhance visitor experience and guard against rising sea levels. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">New iconic landmarks will also be created. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">One example is the Imbiah Canopy, which will become a beacon atop Mount Imbiah that leads visitors to heritage buildings and nature trails.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">More details about the Greater Sentosa Master Plan will be shared later in 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to refresh the Orchard Road shopping belt to boost domestic retail consumption. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The Government will launch a tender in the coming months to transform 37 Emerald Hill, former site of the Singapore Chinese Girls\u2019 School. This will be a mixed-use development featuring hotel concepts, lifestyle offerings and community and public spaces that will honour 37 Emerald Hill\u2019s rich heritage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cWe are also on track to complete the Grange Road event space in the fourth quarter of 2026,\u201d said Mr Tan.
