\u201cIt will be where AI startup founders, talent, corporates, venture builders and capital, and academia come together to address the most pressing challenges that AI can help solve,\u201d said JTC, which manages the development.<\/span><\/p>\n A pilot phase using existing workspaces in One-North will launch this month, with several leading AI players already exploring spaces within the community, JTC said.<\/span><\/p>\n Kampong AI builds on the existing Lorong AI co-working network, which has sites at Cross Street and Vidacity at LaunchPad @ One-North.<\/span><\/p>\n Minister of State for Trade and Industry Gan Siow Huang said it is crucial for AI leaders and practitioners to have a space to share ideas and build new products, and “Kampong AI will meet this need”.<\/p>\n \u201cBesides access to LaunchPad @ One-North, their proximity to industry leaders like Grab, Razer and Sea, and research institutions like NUS and A*STAR, (creates) opportunities for partnerships and pathways to scale,\u201d JTC said.<\/span><\/p>\n JTC added that it will also refresh the One-North precinct with new covered linkways and expanded food and beverage options.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n A new LaunchPad @ PDD, or Punggol Digital District, will open in phases later this year, focused on smart city solutions, fintech, robotics and cybersecurity.<\/span><\/p>\n Mr Gan said Kampong AI will accelerate collaboration and serve as a \u201ccentre of gravity\u201d for AI excellence.<\/p>\n \u201cThese efforts \u2013 Champions of AI, AI Missions and Kampong AI \u2013 will position Singapore as a place where AI solutions are built, proven and scaled \u2013 empowering firms across the economy, and establishing AI leadership in key sectors,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
