A child was seen sitting in a delivery bag mounted on the rear of an electric bicycle in Sengkang on Feb 23.<\/p>\n

Stomper J<\/b><\/span> shared a photo of the incident, which she said happened at Fernvale Link at about 7pm.<\/p>\n

“At first look, I thought it was cute,” she said. “But then I started thinking about the kid’s safety<\/a><\/span>. The child might suddenly stand up or move.”<\/p>\n

In the photo, a female rider wearing a helmet is seen pushing the e-bike at a road crossing while the baby sits inside the attached delivery bag.<\/p>\n

The baby does not appear to be wearing a helmet or any additional safety gear.<\/p>\n

According to the Land Transport Authority<\/a><\/span> (LTA), loads and accessories on power-assisted bicycles (PABs) must be properly secured.<\/p>\n

Pillion riding is permitted only if the PAB is originally designed for it, and pillion riders must be at least 16 years old.<\/p>\n
