{"id":31857,"date":"2026-02-26T16:39:37","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T08:39:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=31857"},"modified":"2026-02-26T16:39:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T08:39:37","slug":"delays-as-autogates-go-offline-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=31857","title":{"rendered":"Delays as autogates go offline again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"story-body\" role=\"article\">\n                <!-- Content data --><\/p>\n<p>JOHOR BARU: Many people rushing to work in Singapore via the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (BSI) were caught in long queues following a system failure that disabled all autogates within the bus halls at the checkpoint here.<\/p>\n<p>The three-and-a-half-hour failure, which occurred between 3am and 6.30am yesterday, not only knocked out the immigration system but also affected other agencies, as it was due to a network problem.<\/p>\n<p>Customs was also forced to carry out manual clearance of heavy vehicles during this period.<\/p>\n<p>The Immigration Department immediately deployed additional manpower to clear the long queues manually, and the \u00adsituation returned to normal once the network was restored.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"embeded-image inline-image-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Stuck in place: Passengers waiting to clear immigration manually following the latest network outage at the BSI in Johor Baru.\" src=\"https:\/\/apicms.thestar.com.my\/uploads\/images\/2026\/02\/26\/3787650.jpg\" onerror=\"this.src=\" https:=\"\" style=\"width: 500px;
