{"id":31287,"date":"2026-02-24T16:02:38","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T08:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=31287"},"modified":"2026-02-24T16:02:38","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T08:02:38","slug":"lorries-cars-taxis-involved-in-6-vehicle-accident-on-tpe-no-one-hurt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=31287","title":{"rendered":"Lorries, cars, taxis involved in 6-vehicle accident on TPE; no one hurt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 A <!-- -->59-year-old cabby<!-- --> is assisting with police investigations after his taxi was involved in a multi-vehicle accident along the <!-- -->Tampines Expressway<!-- --> on the afternoon of Feb 23. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted to an accident involving two lorries, two cars and two taxis on the<!-- --> TPE towards Seletar Expressway at about 1.20pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SCDF assessed an individual for minor injuries, but the person declined to be taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The Land Transport Authority<!-- --> notified motorists about the accident in a post on social media platform X at about 1.15pm, advising them to avoid the affected lanes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In a TikTok video posted by user chubbsantoshi on Feb 23, a stretch of the expressway is shown cordoned off with traffic cones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Nearer to the collision area, Traffic Police motorbikes, an ambulance and an Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System recovery vehicle can be seen. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">A taxi and a car can be seen directly behind a lorry lying on its side. Fragments from the accident can be seen near the site.
