SINGAPORE \u2013 A 25-year-old man is facing charges over driving against the flow of traffic in Bartley Road East in December. <\/p>\n
He will be charged in court with dangerous driving on Feb 25, said the police in a statement on Feb 24. <\/p>\n
The man is alleged to have committed the offence on Dec 14, 2025. At about 12.50am, the police were alerted to a black car that was going against the flow of traffic in Bartley Road East, heading towards Tampines Avenue 10.<\/p>\n
The traffic police identified the driver with the help of traffic cameras and he was arrested for dangerous driving.<\/p>\n
Anyone convicted of dangerous driving can be fined up to $5,000, jailed for up to a year, or both.<\/p>\n
Repeat offenders can face fines of up to $10,000, a jail term of up to two years, or both. They can also be disqualified from driving.<\/p>\n
The police advised motorists to stay alert for errant drivers who can pose a danger to other road users who adhere to traffic rules and drive safely. <\/p>\n
Motorists who come across dangerous driving when on the roads should keep a safe distance and report such incidents immediately.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
