The latest is called the Torres EVX, and it comes from Korean outfit KGM.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"who-is-kgm-\" class=\"_subHeading1_1k87u_111 _base_1k87u_1\">Who is KGM?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Though the name KGM (KG Mobility) might be new, the company\u2019s roots go back further. Prior to KGM, it was known as SsangYong Motor Company \u2013 yes, the same company that made the, let\u2019s say, visually distinctive Musso SUV. It\u2019s a little over 4.7m long and features a large boot. Even with the rear seats up, KGM claims it has <b>703L of carrying capacity<\/b>. Fold the rear seats down, and that expands to a whopping 1,662L.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Inside, the cabin is dominated by two 12.3-inch digital screens \u2013 one for the infotainment and another for the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster is customisable, and the infotainment system supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All of this is sent to the front wheels. Its power output also means it requires a Cat B COE and road tax will be a fairly significant S$1,813 a year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">It has a fairly large 80.6kWh battery, and the claimed range is <b>503km<\/b> (based on WLTP standard). It supports up to 120kW of fast DC charging, which means it can get from 20% to 80% charge in 31 minutes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">There\u2019s certainly no shortage of electric SUVs to choose from these days, but the Torres EVX presents a compelling package, especially for customers who want something a little different and with loads of space.
