There was a chill in the air and windy conditions in the days that followed as a cold front moved through.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">While winter in the city is projected to be normal, day-to-day fluctuations mean that residents can expect the occasional cold snap for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">For many people, less sunlight, lower temperatures and decreased humidity in the cooler months can spell a decline in mental and emotional well-being, sometimes referred to as SAD, or seasonal affective disorder.<\/p>\n<h3 type=\"h3\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"eh0yk8h0 css-17x7qa9 e1pqa4re1\">SAD explained<\/h3>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">American psychiatrist Norman Rosenthal coined the term SAD in 1984.
