That\u2019s what a Xiaohongshu<\/a> user sought to find out in a recent post<\/a> titled, \u201cWhat are some unique traits of kids who grow up in Singapore<\/a>?\u201d<\/p>\n Netizens were quick to jump in with their takes, with comments ranging from highly complimentary to ones that might make us feel a little too self-aware.<\/p>\n A number agreed that Singaporeans<\/a> are polite<\/a> \u2014 we know when to say \u201cplease\u201d and \u201cthank you,\u201d and are proactive about holding doors and lifts open for others.<\/p>\n Some described Singaporeans as \u201crule-abiding\u201d and \u201cmethodical,\u201d noting that we have little trouble following rules and social norms. To them, this makes us logical and efficient, and compared to those who grew up in slower-paced countries, better able to get things done quickly.<\/p>\n They also observed that we “like to queue up<\/a>” and do so patiently wherever we go.<\/p>\n On the flip side, many also find Singaporeans “simple and uncomplicated”. That much might sound like a double-edged compliment, but some did bring up valid downsides to the trait.\u00a0<\/p>\n A netizen from China wrote: “Those that grow up in Singapore would get their money scammed in minutes if they came to the mainland.”<\/p>\n Another also penned: “Children who grow up in such an environment may have average communication skills, limited creativity and imagination, and tend to be more conservative.
