In recent years, however, she says parents have scheduled their offspring\u2019s time so tightly that there is no time for them to experience <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">boredom<\/span>.<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Even when there is time, children today frequently have a device at hand to capture their interest.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">They are on their phones rather than \u201cpondering and wondering\u201d, Kennedy says.
