After weeks of frustration from the community, ARC Raiders <\/em><\/strong>developer Embark Studios has finally addressed the rampant cheaters that are infesting the game and outlined its plans to combat the problem over the next few weeks. In a new statement released earlier today, Embark said it is taking the issues very seriously and intends to implement significant changes to ARC Raiders<\/em>‘ ruleset over the next few weeks. The studio also said it will introduce new tools specifically for streamers in an attempt to prevent stream sniping.<\/p>\n

Cheating in live service titles such as ARC Raiders<\/em>, Call of Duty<\/em>, or Battlefield <\/em>is something that is becoming an unfortunate common occurrence, with publishers and developers frantically attempting to tighten up their anti-cheat security on a regular basis. Many studios have even begun developing their own in-house anti-cheat systems in order to ensure their titles remain as secure as possible. However, they do come with setbacks. EA’s proprietary anti-cheat system, which it uses for <\/em>Battlefield 6<\/em>, is a kernel-level anti-cheat, which often sparks controversy as it operates with extremely high privileges on a user’s system. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em>‘s Ricochet anti-cheat, which was developed in-house at Activision, also comes with the same abilities.<\/p>\n

\n ARC Raiders Outlines Plans to Combat Cheaters

The newest live-service title to be taken over by cheaters and hackers is Embark Studios’ extraction shooter, ARC Raiders<\/em>. The title has become massively popular among the gaming community following its launch last October, which means it has also attracted the attention of cheat providers and hackers. As Embark has been on Christmas break for the last few weeks, fans have been eager to hear from the studio as to how it intends to address the problem. Now, in a new statement on the official ARC Raiders <\/em>Discord, a Community Manager has said the studio has seen the discussion around the topic of cheaters and is taking the issue very seriously.<\/p>\n

“Over the next few weeks, we are implementing significant changes to our rulesets and deploying new detection mechanisms to identify and remove cheaters,” Embark said. The statement goes on to state that Embark will also be updating its anti-cheat systems for improved detection and bans. It also touched upon the massively controversial out-of-bounds glitch that ARC Raiders<\/em> players have been putting up with for weeks now, stating that there will be new client-side fixes specifically aimed at fixing the glitch.<\/p>\n

Finally, the studio said it also plans to implement new tools specifically for streamers in order to help mitigate stream sniping. While this isn’t something that the everyday player will be concerned about, popular content creators such as TheBurntPeanut, Shroud, TimTheTatMan, and many more have all voiced their frustrations with constant stream snipers ruining the fun. Former Counter-Strike <\/em>and Valorant<\/em> pro Shroud even blasted Embark and said that the studio has no control over its game, calling for the developers to address the rampant cheating problem in the next week or so, or risk losing high-profile streamers as they move on to other games.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, with the new year now in full swing, it looks like Embark has finally returned to the office and set some big goals to combat cheaters over the next few weeks. The studio also recently revealed its plans for some big balance adjustments in the next ARC Raiders<\/em> update, as both the Trigger Nade and Stitcher will be receiving nerfs in the patch. Embark also says it intends to address the issue with players abusing macros as a way to shoot the Kettle at a higher rate of fire than humanly possible. While the team has outlined some of the adjustments coming in the update, there is still no confirmed release date for the patch. However, Embark recently stated that it would be releasing new updates on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays, which means the first patch of 2026 could arrive on January 13.<\/p>\n
