She explained that while discussing what they look for in a partner, her date shared that he profiles women based on where they graduated from.<\/p>\n
Neha recalled: \u201cHe was like \u2018oh I want someone who is educated and has a university degree\u2019. Fair enough, I understand why that would be a want. But he continued \u2018I would prefer if they were from NUS, NTU, or SMU. If [they\u2019re from] SUSS, I would be like hmm\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comment caught Neha off guard. While she herself is an NTU graduate, the bluntness of his remark made him come across as elitist.<\/p>\n
She added that she \u201ccouldn\u2019t believe he said that,\u201d quipping: \u201cAs if I wanted to be picked, bro.\u201d<\/p>\n
To test his stance, Neha posed a hypothetical: what if he met his dream girl \u2014 someone who ticked every box, was highly successful in her career, but only held a diploma and never attended university?<\/p>\n
According to Neha, he said he wouldn\u2019t \u201ccontinue\u201d seeing her.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo each their own, but I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s the kind of thing you say out loud,\u201d Neha remarked.<\/p>\n
Netizens were sharply divided over the date\u2019s controversial take.<\/p>\n
Some defended his honesty, arguing that being upfront about preferences prevents resentment later on.<\/p>\n
\u201cI actually prefer if men are honest like this. Stop shaming them.
