This year, vendors showcased laptops that emphasized better graphics, better thermals, bigger and clearer displays and AI-powered performance boosts, all of which were designed to not only keep up but enhance with modern gaming.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">With so many announcements to go through, here are six gaming laptops that caught our attention at CES 2026. Total system power is a claimed 300W, which is significant for a laptop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">The laptop is also able to support up to 128GB of DDR5-7200 RAM, and the screen is a 16-inch inch QHD+ 240Hz OLED screen. Fast cooling is provided by MSI\u2019s Cooler Boost Trinity system which features a triple-fan and five heatsinks to help mitigate the heat produced by the powerful components. Imagine playing games on one screen, and replying to your colleagues in Slack on the other.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Both screens have a 120Hz refresh rate, wide DCI-P3 colour coverage, and G-Sync support. With support for the latest CPUs from Intel and AMD, the ability to accommodate up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, plus a PCIe Gen 4 SSD Storage, makes this beast of a machine geared for hardcore gaming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">The display is a 16-inch 2.5K OLED screen with a 240hz refresh rate. The laptop features OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro system to help manage the heat. With a per-key RGB light-up keyboard, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and Wi-Fi 7 support, the Omen Max 16 blends robust hardware with cool designs, making it a top-tier choice for gamers. These new panels deliver up to 620 nits of peak HDR brightness and feature an anti-glare coating that reduces gloss by 32%.The displays offer a 0.2ms response time, HDR True Black 500 support, 120% DCI-P3 color coverage, and VESA ClearMR 9000 certification to minimize ghosting and motion blur in fast-moving scenes. Apart from these two laptops, Alienware is also upgrading the Alienware 18 Area-51 with Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors. The Legion Pro Rollable is based on the Legion Pro 7i, but replaces its standard display with a 16-inch flexible screen that, at the press of a button, activates two motors to roll out hidden panels, expanding the laptop\u2019s display to either a 21.5-inch \u201cTactical Mode\u201d or a 24-inch \u201cArena Mode\u201d.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">While interesting and novel, it\u2019s only a concept at this point, and it is unclear if Lenovo will put it into production. It can be configured with up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB of storage, and features a 16-inch WQXGA OLED display.
