{"id":26252,"date":"2026-01-06T16:35:53","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T08:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=26252"},"modified":"2026-01-06T16:35:53","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T08:35:53","slug":"pickleball-players-mark-out-lines-with-masking-tape-at-admiralty-drive-hard-court-and-leave-it-behind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=26252","title":{"rendered":"Pickleball players mark out lines with masking tape at Admiralty Drive hard court &#8212; and leave it behind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Noise complaints about <span><a class=\"text-primary-500 hover:underline\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stomp.sg\/tag\/pickleball\" target=\"_blank\" data-discover=\"true\">pickleball games<\/a><\/span> may be familiar, but a Sembawang resident was more concerned by what was left behind after some players packed up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Stomper <span><b>Kitty <\/b><\/span>told Stomp that she had observed pickleball players using masking tape to mark out additional lines at a hard court between Blocks 353B and 353C Admiralty Drive on Jan 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">She<span><b> <\/b><\/span>shared photos, pointing out two extra nets put up by the players to &#8216;cordon off&#8217; the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;Can meh?&#8221; she asked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The players were later seen pasting masking tape across the hard court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;They took more time pasting the lines than actually playing pickleball,&#8221; the resident said.<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"video-container my-lg w-[620px] h-[349px]\" src=\"https:\/\/players.brightcove.net\/4802324446001\/default_default\/index.html?videoId=6387275637112\" title=\"#NoTapis\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Kitty noted that the players had been on the court from about 9am and that the tape markings were still there at 4pm the same day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;They left without removing,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Very inconsiderate! HELLO POLICE???&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">She told Stomp the markings were still visible as of Jan 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The Stomper, who lives on the ninth floor, added that pickleball sessions can be disruptive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;It&#8217;s still rather loud,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It&#8217;s difficult to sleep in even with the windows closed to block out noise, especially when it&#8217;s early in the morning on weekends.
