{"id":25562,"date":"2026-01-04T05:37:38","date_gmt":"2026-01-03T21:37:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=25562"},"modified":"2026-01-04T05:37:38","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T21:37:38","slug":"wolf-supermoon-peers-through-cloudy-night-sky-above-singapore-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=25562","title":{"rendered":"Wolf supermoon peers through cloudy night sky above Singapore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 The first supermoon of\u00a02026 kick-started the year\u2019s lunar spectacles\u00a0with a brilliant display on the night of Jan 3 in Singapore\u2019s cloudy skies, as astronomy enthusiasts took to social media to share photographs and videos of the moon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Dubbed the Wolf Moon, it is the first of a trio of supermoons expected in 2026, with the next one not expected until Nov 24 \u2013 over 11 months away. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Facebook user Jennifer Soon took to the social media platform to share images of the Wolf Moon. In one of the photographs, the moon appears to peer through the clouds as it lights up the night sky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Another user of the platform, Ms Kellin Koh, posted a photograph of the moon appearing to float above the clouds, glowing a bright white against a grove of trees. \u201cA perfect moon-rise, no filters needed,\u201d she wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Meanwhile, Mr Lam Chee Leong shared a close-up photograph of the moon, describing it as \u201cthe shy Wolf Moon\u201d playing hide-and-seek with the clouds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Speaking to The Straits Times, Mr A.
