Treated Like Cattle is a quest in Divinity: Original Sin 2<\/strong><\/em> where players have to help two people who have been turned into cows by an evil witch turn back into their human selves by bringing them an elusive potion hidden somewhere in the Witch\u2019s House.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Curing both of the cows of their affliction requires two potions, but unfortunately, there appears to be only one of these to go around. This guide covers the exact location of the Witch\u2019s Potion, the method of making a second one, as well as all possible ways Treated Like Cattle can be completed, and the rewards that can be obtained.<\/p>\n

In The Meadows north of Driftwood, there are two cows, Geraldine and Mabel, standing in an open field next to the Witch House (X:340, Y:240)<\/strong>. Use a character with the Pet Pal Talent to talk to them to discover that they are actually two people who have been turned into cows by the Witch Alice Alisceon.<\/p>\n

Geraldine and Mabel will ask you to help them turn back into their real selves by bringing them the Witch\u2019s Potion<\/strong>, the only thing that can reverse the curse cast upon them by the Witch. The two cows will tell you that the Witch\u2019s Potion can be found in the Witch House.<\/p>\n

The Witch House is located right next to where you find the cows (X:375, Y:224)<\/strong>, and will be marked on your map with a yellow flag once you trigger the quest. It\u2019s the house with the large frog on the porch.<\/p>\n

To enter, pick up the Witch\u2019s House Key<\/strong> in front of the entrance (use the highlight objects hotkey to locate it). Use the key to open the door next to the frog and enter the house.<\/p>\n

Find the hatch leading down to the basement in the room next to the bedroom. Have a character with 4 Thievery<\/strong> use a lockpick to unlock the hatch to enter the Witch House Cellar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you cannot lockpick the cellar hatch, you can find a key for it by killing Alice Alisceon in Cloisterwood and looting her body.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The Witch House Cellar is teeming with exploding rats. These rats spawn from rat holes located on the walls in the cellar<\/strong>. To deal with the rats, you\u2019ll need to close the rat holes by destroying them using attacks. There are five rat holes in total, one in the first room and four in the second. Use a character with a ranged skill, like a Mage or an Archer, to close the rat holes from afar without getting overrun by the rats.<\/p>\n

Once all the rats are dealt with, activate the lever<\/strong> in the second room to open the metal grate leading to the final room.<\/p>\n

Pick up the Witch\u2019s Potion from the shelf in the corner of the room<\/strong>, behind the table and chair. This is the potion the cows are looking for. However, since it is only a single dosage, it can only cure one of them.<\/p>\n

Kill the giant blue frog (Zppt) in the electrified cell in the cellar (300XP) and loot its body to find a book titled Witch\u2019s Potion\u2019s Notes<\/strong>. If you have a character with the Mystic and Scholar tags, they will be able to read this book to decipher the recipe for the Witch\u2019s Potion<\/strong> that can be used to cure Geraldine and Mabel.<\/p>\n

Only Fane has both Mystic and Scholar tags in DOS2<\/em>. Since you cannot change tags using the Magic Mirror respec feature, this means there is no way to decipher the book if you do not have him in your party (or do not have a custom character with these tags already).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n
