It was sort of like Grand Theft Auto<\/em> combined with Mortal Kombat<\/em>, and the franchise\u2019s biggest moment in the sun was in the late 90s and early 2000s, but then it went away until the first revival attempt in 2015 with Carmageddon: Reincarnation<\/em>.<\/p>\nBesides some mobile attempts, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift<\/em> will be the first big return for the series on consoles and PC in a decade, which is slated for a release in 2026. The gameplay will still involve racing and nailing down pedestrians, but there will also be a roguelike element with an upgrade oath. As roguelikes are all the rage nowadays, thanks to releases like Hades <\/em>and Rogue Legacy<\/em>, it seems like a good idea for Carmageddon: Rogue Shift<\/em> to bring the franchise back strongly.<\/p>\n\n\n
