A van was allegedly involved in multiple hit-and-run accidents on Wednesday (Dec 31) along Towner Road and Lavender Street, before crashing into a signpost along Raffles Avenue.<\/p>\n
In three separate posts uploaded to Facebook groups SGRV and SGRV Front Man, the same orange Nippon Paint van was <\/strong>seen involved in multiple road incidents, all of which occurred on different roads.<\/p>\n In the first post, the driver of the Toyota Hiace is alleged to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident near Block 149A Towner Road, before being accused of fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n An uploaded video showed the van ramming through a car park barricade in the process of doing so.<\/p>\n According to SGRV, the incident occurred at 1.32pm.<\/p>\n The same van is then seen driving against traffic and crashing into another car waiting at a traffic junction along Lavender Street, before reversing and driving away without stopping.\u00a0<\/p>\n At this point, the driver’s side mirror appears to be dislodged.<\/p>\n Finally, the same van is seen crashed into a signpost along Raffles Avenue, near the Singapore Flyer, in another post. \u00a0A man in a white-coloured shirt can be seen behind the wheel.<\/p>\n In a statement to AsiaOne on Thursday, police said that it was alerted to multiple hit-and-run accidents allegedly caused by a van along Towner Road, Serangoon Road and Lavender Street.<\/p>\n The van driver allegedly collided into four cars, two vans, and two lorries.<\/p>\n The vehicle was then believed to have self-skidded along Raffles Avenue towards Stamford Avenue, said police.<\/p>\n A 65-year-old male van driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital and is assisting with investigations.<\/p>\n Police investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n daoen.wong@asiaone.com<\/a><\/p>\n [[nid:727422]]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
