Pinterest is one of the most influential online platforms for those under the age of 30, and it has become the Gen Z go-to visual search engine for creating mood boards for fashion, beauty and interiors.<\/p>\n

The platform\u2019s annual \u200cPinterest Predicts report has become an accurate fashion crystal ball over the past few years, forecasting everything from the rise of tomato girl summer<\/span> to streamlined stealth wealth.<\/div>\n

We are, according to the data, about to enter a year defined by maximalist jewellery, 1980s silhouettes and a fresh take on utilitarian khaki. It is a line-up that sounds chaotic on paper, but it reflects a broader shift in how people want to dress \u2013 with more personality and a willingness to lean into nostalgia.<\/p>\n

To unpack the trends \u2013 and explain how to wear them without looking like you have stepped out of a time capsule \u2013 we asked celebrity stylist Ellis Ranson to decode the five biggest looks set to dominate 2026.<\/p>\n

1. Brooches and maximalist jewellery<\/h3>\n

Maximalism is back \u2013 not in the chaotic, everything-at-once sense, but in a retro, couture way \u2013 and, Ranson says, brooches will be the easiest entry point.<\/p>\n

With Chanel\u2019s comeback, thanks to new creative director Matthieu Blazy<\/span>, last season fuelling the revival, Ranson notes that \u201cChanel is probably one of the best places that we see inspiration for brooches and that whole vintage retro styling that\u2019s coming back.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
