SINGAPORE – Access to the MySkillsFuture portal has been restored after a system issue on Dec 30, a day before a one-off credit top-up is due to expire. <\/p>\n
The affected SkillsFuture Credit system was back up online at 7am on Dec 31, SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) said in a statement on the same day.<\/p>\n
It added that the technical issue started at 5pm on Dec 30, and affected mainly the submissions of SkillsFuture Credit claims for online learning subscriptions from providers such as Coursera, edX, NTUC LearningHub Learning eXperience Platform, Gnowbe, and ZilLearn. <\/p>\n
These providers were accepting sign-ups for their subscriptions before 31 December, which were eligible for the expiring SkillsFuture Credit top-up, SSG said. <\/p>\n
\u201cClaims submitted prior to the system issue, including those for other courses, were not affected,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n
SSG said it is working with the five online learning providers to re-process or reinstate the course applications that could not be processed during the downtime. <\/p>\n
\u201cThose applicants with expiring SkillsFuture Credit top-up will be able to utilise these credits in time,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n
The one-off $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up issued to all Singaporeans aged 25 and above in 2020 will\u00a0<\/p>\n expire on Dec 31<\/p>\n <\/a>. To use this top-up, courses applied for must start by Dec 31, and claims must be submitted by that date.<\/p>\n
