Her latest solo exhibition sees her turning her gaze towards Europe \u2013 perhaps seeing travel as the ultimate escape \u2013 but these new paintings are not just about getting away.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">After spending October to December 2024 in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Poland, she returned to Hong Kong, where she reflected upon her trip and made discoveries about how she connects with the world around her.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Comprising 21 new oil works created in 2025, \u201cBedroom Paintings\u201d marks Cheng\u2019s fourth solo exhibition with Blindspot Gallery, located in Hong Kong\u2019s Wong Chuk Hang neighbourhood. Cheng says that, like her previous shows, it is \u201ca visual diary about intimacy\u201d, and unlike her older works, is \u201ckind of like a self-healing journal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">She adds, \u201cThis exhibition is in between. My paintings are ultimately depictions of my real-life experiences.
