Samsung has announced its next-generation external modem and it\u2019s called the Exynos Modem 5410.<\/b><\/p>\n

Built on a 4nm process, the new modem supports three types of satellite connectivity<\/b>: LTE Direct to Cell (DTC), NarrowBand (NB)-IoT Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), and New Radio (NR)-NTN, enabling reliable connectivity even in remote or hard-to-reach areas.<\/p>\n

Compared to the Exynos 5400, the Exynos Modem 5410 delivers lower standby power consumption<\/b> and improved efficiency<\/b>. These enhancements translate into longer usage times alongside stronger and more stable connectivity.<\/p>\n

The modem also supports 5G NR dual connectivity<\/b> across sub-6 GHz + mmWave bands, offering peak download speeds of up to 14.79 Gbps<\/b>. On the security front, Samsung claims it is the first modem to feature a hardware-based post-quantum cryptography chip for enhanced protection.<\/p>\n

Since the recently announced Exynos 2600 does not include an integrated modem, the Exynos Modem 5410 is widely expected to pair with Samsung\u2019s 2nm mobile chip in select Galaxy S26 models<\/b>. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is tipped to be unveiled on February 25.<\/p>\n
