A Reddit post by user stefan0_<\/em> recently went viral after spotting monkeys in its brochure, some gathered around a reunion dinner table, with another even performing a lion dance in the background.<\/p>\n \u201cThe AI is so advanced, it\u2019s already two years in the future,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n This, despite 2026 being the Year of the Horse. For the record, the Year of the Monkey only rolls around in 2027.<\/p>\n Umm\u2026 we get it if this was done by a non-Chinese company. But Putien?<\/p>\n The popular restaurant chain was founded in Singapore in 2000 by Singaporean Fong Chi Chung <\/strong>aka “Uncle Fong”, who was originally from China.<\/p>\n But zodiac inaccuracies were only the beginning. Eagle-eyed netizens quickly zoomed in on some unsettling background figures.<\/p>\n Several pointed out what they described as \u201cdeconstructed heads\u201d, with one figure appearing to have what looks disturbingly like a skull for a face.<\/p>\n Yikes! Guess the all chance of auspicious vibes just got thrown out the window.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s impossible the designers didn\u2019t notice. At least they could have drawn a cartoon face on, but they most likely didn\u2019t care,\u201d read a comment, to which one replied, \u201cWhat designers?\u201d alluding to other comments about how AI has failed Putien.<\/p>\n One netizen even sarcastically wrote, \u201cThey can use the monkeys to (hou hou hou<\/em>) Merry Christmas!” until the end of this month\u201d.<\/p>\n Oh?
