{"id":22391,"date":"2025-12-23T13:34:41","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T05:34:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=22391"},"modified":"2025-12-23T13:34:41","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T05:34:41","slug":"videos-show-elderly-man-using-pma-on-pie-modified-e-bike-speeding-along-woodlands-road-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=22391","title":{"rendered":"Videos show elderly man using PMA on PIE, modified e-bike speeding along Woodlands Road , Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two infractions related to active mobility devices were caught on separate dashcam footages on Sunday (Dec 21).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first case involves an elderly man seen using his personal mobility aid (PMA) along the slip road from the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Clementi Avenue 6.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The incident allegedly occurred at about 10.30am.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a video posted to Facebook group SG Road Vigilante, the elderly man is seen moving slowly along the slip road. He is seen glancing over to his left as a BYD electric car approaches him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully for the elderly PMA user, the driver is seen slowing down. He even turns on his hazard lights and is seen making a slow manoeuvre around the PMA \u2014 to warn other oncoming motorists to the presence of the man.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In response to AsiaOne&#8217;s queries, a police spokesperson said they received a call for assistance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, officers dispatched to the scene could not locate the PMA or the elderly man.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is not known if the elderly man made his way off the road on his own, or if he was assisted by a passing motorist.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"476\" width=\"267\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F2423954354724986%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=267&amp;t=0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\">\u00a0<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the second case, a power-assisted bicycle or e-bike is seen travelling down Woodlands Road, allegedly at speeds of over 60kmh \u2014 based on the recorded moving speed of the dashcam vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>And based on the angle of the footage, the dashcam vehicle is likely to be a heavy vehicle.
