Thick, rich zhup and served slightly wet, exactly the way I like it. Really satisfying and comforting. The prawn noodles were also impressive. I liked that they separated the noodles and ingredients, so nothing went soggy. The broth was extremely thick and flavourful, possibly one of the thickest prawn noodle broths I’ve had, and thankfully without that strong alkaline taste some versions have. We also tried the pao fan, which was a miss for us. While the prawns were really big and juicy, the rice turned soggy very quickly, and even though it used the same broth, it just didn’t work as well together. For sides, the Wu Xiang 2-pax set at $9 was solid and enjoyable, and the prawn paste chicken (har cheong gai) was not bad too. Overall, definitely worth coming by for the noodles, especially if you’re a fan of rich, flavourful broths.
