She was in a white-collar boxing event in Hong Kong that, together with the months of training beforehand, was supposed to be a lighthearted distraction from her job as a tax technology consultant.<\/p>\n<div datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1xdhyk6 ec74h0k0\">After engaging in this \u201cHedge Fund Fight Nite\u201d competition, a fundraising event for charity, she was hooked. On top of her boxing training, she also took up kickboxing and <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">jiu-jitsu<\/span>.<\/div>\n<div datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1xdhyk6 ec74h0k0\">So began her transition from office worker to Hong Kong\u2019s first professional <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">female MMA fighter<\/span>.
