{"id":20490,"date":"2025-12-16T23:25:39","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T15:25:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=20490"},"modified":"2025-12-16T23:25:39","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T15:25:39","slug":"elderly-pedestrian-taken-to-hospital-after-accident-involving-bus-in-jurong-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=20490","title":{"rendered":"Elderly pedestrian taken to hospital after accident involving bus in Jurong East"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013<!-- --> A 77-year-old man was taken to hospital on Dec 15 after he was involved in an accident with an SBS Transit bus in Jurong East.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The police said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Jurong East Central and Jurong Gateway at 10.45am on Dec 15.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The elderly pedestrian was conscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">A 65-year-old male bus driver is assisting with investigations, which are ongoing, added the police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SBS Transit spokeswoman Grace Wu said: \u201cWe are sorry that this has happened and our priority is on the well-being of the pedestrian.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cWe are in contact with his family to express our care and concern and extend assistance and support as best we can.
