{"id":19760,"date":"2025-12-14T19:26:38","date_gmt":"2025-12-14T11:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=19760"},"modified":"2025-12-14T19:26:38","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T11:26:38","slug":"boon-lay-resident-hears-sirens-looks-out-window-and-sees-car-rammed-against-lamp-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=19760","title":{"rendered":"Boon Lay resident hears sirens, looks out window and sees car &#8216;rammed&#8217; against lamp post"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">A man sustained minor injuries after his car got into an accident in Boon Lay on Dec 12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Stomper <span><b>Lenard<\/b><\/span>, who lived nearby, shared a video of the accident&#8217;s aftermath, showing a white car stopped in front of a leaning lamp post at a traffic junction with the road glistening wet from rain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;I heard a lot of sirens, looked out the window and saw this,&#8221; recounted the Stomper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;The white car had rammed into the lamp post.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force vehicles were at the scene.<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"video-container my-lg w-[620px] h-[349px]\" src=\"https:\/\/players.brightcove.net\/4802324446001\/default_default\/index.html?videoId=6386460643112\" title=\"#NoTapis\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Boon Lay Way and Corporation Road at 5.25pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The Volkswagen Golf was believed to have &#8220;self-skidded&#8221;.
