Earlier this year, Kim Woo-bin graced the small screen in Netflix\u2019s splashy fantasy romance Genie, Make a Wish<\/em><\/span>, reuniting with his Uncontrollably Fond<\/em> co-star Bae Suzy and Kim Eun-sook, the writer behind The Heirs<\/em> \u2013 one of the actor\u2019s earliest projects.<\/div>\n

While the series received mixed reviews, it was nevertheless a compelling showcase for Kim\u2019s chiselled features and magnetic screen aura.<\/p>\n

Yet Kim\u2019s biggest moment of 2025 is still to come: on December 20, he is set to tie the knot with girlfriend Shin Min-a. The actors shared the screen in the ensemble hit Our Blues<\/em><\/span> (2022), although their relationship predates that project by several years.<\/div>\n

Kim was born in Seoul, though he spent his formative years in Jeonju, a central city renowned for its culinary scene, where his father runs a cafe. He attended Jeonju University, which later invited him to be an honorary ambassador.<\/p>\n

Why we love him<\/h3>\n

With his considerable height, steely eyes and sharp cheekbones, Kim was ideally suited for the runway and spent the first few years of his career as a model \u2013 a background that came in handy for his first film role in 2012, when he featured briefly in the fashion-themed crime comedy Runway Cop<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
