{"id":18340,"date":"2025-12-10T11:24:37","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:24:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=18340"},"modified":"2025-12-10T11:24:37","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:24:37","slug":"8-foodie-skills-to-pick-up-with-your-skillsfuture-credit-with-course-ideas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=18340","title":{"rendered":"8 foodie skills to pick up with your SkillsFuture Credit (with course ideas!)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019ve clicked in, you probably haven\u2019t used up your expiring SkillsFuture Credit \u2014 and you need ideas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2020, the government dropped a one-off S$500 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg\/content\/portal\/en\/header\/faqs\/skillsfuture-credit.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SkillsFuture Credit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> top-up for every Singaporean aged 25 and above, adding that these would expire at the end of 2025<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not to be confused with the $500 opening SkillsFuture Credit given in January 2016, or the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) for those aged above 40 years old, both of which have no expiry date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many seem to have not used up their expiring S$500 top-up, and you might be in the same boat. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But here\u2019s the catch: To use these expiring credits, you will need to ensure the courses start by December 31, and make sure your claims are submitted on the SkillsFuture portal by the above date, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since we were doing our own frantic research on courses, we thought we\u2019d share some<\/span> food-related skills you can pick up with your SkillsFuture Credit, and relevant courses that you can consider.<\/p>\n<p>All of these still have slots open this month that you can register for, attend, and claim before the year ends \u2014 act fast and don\u2019t let your credits go to waste!<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Editor\u2019s Note: While care has been taken to ensure the respective courses and their information are represented accurately, this may change after the time of publication.
