{"id":17993,"date":"2025-12-09T05:14:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T21:14:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=17993"},"modified":"2025-12-09T05:14:56","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T21:14:56","slug":"pedestrian-dies-after-accident-with-motorcycle-outside-bukit-batok-bus-depot-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=17993","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian dies after accident with motorcycle outside Bukit Batok Bus Depot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\"><span><b>Wong Man Shun<\/b><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><b>The Straits Times<\/b><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><b>Dec 6, 2025<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">A 46-year-old man died in hospital after he was involved in an accident with a motorcycle outside Bukit Batok Bus Depot late on Dec 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The police said they were alerted to the <span><a class=\"text-primary-500 hover:underline\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/pedestrian-dies-after-accident-with-motorcycle-outside-bukit-batok-bus-depot\" target=\"_blank\">accident,<\/a><\/span> which involved a motorcycle and a pedestrian, in Bukit Batok Street 23 towards Bukit Batok East Avenue 6 at 11.20pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old man, was taken conscious to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The pedestrian was unconscious when he was taken to the hospital, where he subsequently died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that one man was taken to the National University Hospital, and the other to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">In a video of the accident&#8217;s aftermath circulating online, two ambulances can be seen at the scene of the accident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">A motorcycle is lying near the kerb of the road. There are a few paramedics, including one who appears to be performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">According to the video caption, the footage was provided by a private-hire driver who was driving two passengers from Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) to Bukit Batok.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary pt-md text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The passengers can be heard saying that they are doctors.
