{"id":17915,"date":"2025-12-08T21:42:41","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T13:42:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=17915"},"modified":"2025-12-08T21:42:41","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T13:42:41","slug":"devotees-can-book-thaipusam-2026-participation-slots-from-dec-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=17915","title":{"rendered":"Devotees can book Thaipusam 2026 participation slots from Dec 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE &#8211;<!-- --> Devotees who wish to fulfil their vows in the Thaipusam 2026 festival can make their bookings online from<!-- --> 9.15am on Dec 10<!-- --> through the <a href=\"https:\/\/thaipusam.sg\/?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular inline\" data-testid=\"paragraph-test-id\">official festival website<\/p>\n<p><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">On Feb 1, Hindu devotees are set to walk in procession from Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple in Serangoon Road to Sri Thendayuthapani Temple in Tank Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">They often carry milk pots, also known as paal kudams, and kavadis \u2013 decorated wood and metal arches \u2013 during the procession, as offerings to the Hindu deity Murugan. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In a statement on Dec 8, the Hindu Endowments Board (HEB) said online registration is compulsory for those who wish to carry paal kudams or kavadis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The festival is a significant event for Tamil Hindus around the world. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">During Thaipusam 2025, almost <!-- -->16,000<!-- --> devotees in Singapore made the<!-- --> 3.2km<!-- --> journey between the two temples. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">On Thaipusam day, those who have registered online must adhere to their chosen time slots, and they are advised to arrive 30 minutes before their allocated time, the board said.
