We\u2019re less than two weeks away from the premiere of Fallout Season 2, and fans have been eager for any information on how the show will handle the franchise\u2019s return to New Vegas<\/u>. Well, now we have (just a few) answers. <\/p>\n

Speaking to a packed house at CCXP25 in Brazil, several of the show\u2019s stars including Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Justin Theroux showed off a new look at Season 2<\/u> and let the audience in on what fans of the game can be excited about when the new season hits Prime Video. Season 1 contained plenty of callbacks<\/u> to the games, and it looks like we can expect more of that in Season 2. <\/p>\n

\u201cEvery single corner you look there\u2019s an Easter egg,\u201d said Walton Goggins, who plays Cooper Howard, otherwise known as The Ghoul. \u201cBut none more than House. It becomes this larger than life presence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goggins, of course was referring to none other than Robert House, the mysterious leader of New Vegas, who is being portrayed on the show by Justin Theroux. \u201cIn the video game we don’t really see flesh and blood House,\u201d Theroux said. \u201cMr. House is (mainly on) screen. And I think (Fallout producers) Geneva (Robertson-Dworet), Graham (Wagner), and Jonah (Nolan) are smart enough to be like, \u2018No, let’s see this guy breathing. Let’s see what he was like before the Armageddon.\u2019 And so that was really fun just from an acting perspective to breathe life into that character and see him walk around. That was really fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about the challenges of bringing House to life, Theroux acknowledged wanting to respect the legacy of the character from the game. \u201cThe challenge was just to make him as realized as possible. Obviously not phone it in and not really try and compete with the wonderful actor (Ren\u00e9 Auberjonois, who died in 2019<\/u>) who had already been his voice in the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goggins and Theroux, who are longtime friends, were excited at the chance to work together on screen. \u201cI’ve been a fan and friend of Justin for a really long time,\u201d Goggins said. \u201cWe had never worked together. What I was most looking forward to was being in that space and watching my friend do his thing and listening to him. And when he showed up, he brought an entire world with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s kind of like getting invited to watch your favorite magician do their magic tricks,\u201d Theroux said of Goggins. \u201cWe had a couple really barn-burner scenes to do together and it was really fun to chop those scenes.\u201d<\/p>\n
