Another major K-pop name begins to build her K-drama r\u00e9sum\u00e9 in this week\u2019s Korean casting news, which includes a romantic drama, an office romcom, a supernatural legal show and an action-packed casino-set series.<\/p>\n

1. My Favorite Employee<\/h3>\n
Yuna of the girl group Itzy has booked her second major drama role in the upcoming series My Favorite Employee<\/em>. She will be joining series leads Kang Hoon (A Time Called You<\/em><\/span>), Kim Hye-jun (A Shop for Killers<\/em><\/span>) and Cha Woo-min (Melo Movie<\/em><\/span>).<\/div>\n

The series, which is based on a webtoon, will follow several characters working at a company launched by a former K-pop idol.<\/p>\n

Kim will appear as Nam Da-reum, a major fan of idol Lee Chan (played by Cha), who begins working at his company. Kang stars as her talented boss Kang Ha-gi, and the story will focus on the romance that develops between them.<\/p>\n

Yuna will appear as a top actress. Before this, she will make her acting debut with a supporting role in Undercover Miss Hong<\/em> with Park Shin-hye<\/span>, due out in January.<\/div>\n

The 12-episode My Favorite Employee<\/em> will be directed by Park Ji-hyun (Class of Lies<\/em>) and is due out on tvN at some point next year.<\/p>\n

2. Shin Yi-rang\u2019s Law Firm<\/h3>\n
Yoo Yeon-seok (Hospital Playlist<\/em><\/span>) and Esom (Taxi Driver<\/em><\/span>) have been confirmed as the leads of a new legal drama called Shin Yi-rang\u2019s Law Firm<\/em> for broadcaster SBS.<\/div>\n
