Parcels were repeatedly left unattended in the carpark at Block 8C Boon Tiong Road in Bukit Merah, according to a resident.<\/p>\n

Stomper James<\/b><\/span>, who reported the matter to Tanjong Pagar Town Council (TPTC) on Nov 17, said no action appeared to have been taken as the parcels continued to be left there daily.<\/p>\n

James said in his feedback: “Is the carpark allowed to be a ‘warehouse’ for a delivery company\/person? Been there since 12pm and now still here. Prompt action please.”<\/p>\n

He told Stomp he later received a reply from TPTC but was dissatisfied with the explanation.<\/p>\n

“This reply from TPTC doesn’t make sense at all!” he said.<\/p>\n

According to James, TPTC informed him that there was no violation if the company responsible for the parcels had purchased a season parking pass from HDB.<\/p>\n

Stomp understands that the carpark is not under the town council’s purview, but the parcels have been cleared as of Dec 1.<\/p>\n

In 2021, selected HDB multi-storey car parks were piloted as courier hubs where courier companies could conduct delivery activities such as parcel unloading and sorting.<\/p>\n

The Courier Hub Scheme<\/a><\/span> was formalised in September 2024.<\/p>\n

Companies can apply to use parking lots at multi-storey carparks across Singapore to support their delivery activities.<\/p>\n

The carparks were selected based on availability of space and feedback received.<\/p>\n
