Sometimes the “new content” is a patch or a store refresh, something that requires an update for the PC game’s file. Other times, it’s merely nothing – the developers adding a line of text to seemingly hint at DLC, when there are no plans to add anything. Still, Armored Core fans are holding out hope that this could be something, rather than nothing.

FromSoftware and The Game Awards Have a History Together

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon does have a history at The Game Awards, as it was first revealed in 2022. The mech combat series played younger sibling to the Souls and Elden Ring franchises, but it has a dedicated fan base as well. On top of that, FromSoftware has welcomed a massive influx of new fans in the time since the last numbered Armored Core was released in 2012.
