SINGAPORE \u2013 An Angsana tree\u2019s branch snapped and fell on a car in Lavender Street on Dec 2 as heavy rain fell over parts of Singapore.<\/p>\n
The National Parks Board said it was alerted to the snapped tree branch incident at about noon on the same day, during a period of heavy rain and strong winds <\/p>\n brought about by a Sumatra squall.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n It added that no injuries were reported and that the obstruction was cleared at about 1pm. The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it did not receive a call for assistance over the incident.<\/p>\n In a photo circulating online, a tree branch covered in leaves can be seen on top of a white car on the road shoulder, with smaller branches strewn around it. The vehicle does not appear to be damaged.<\/p>\n Earlier that day, national water agency PUB had warned in a post on social media platform X that heavy rain was expected over many areas of Singapore from 7.20am to 8.30am.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
